Shiva Eye is not a stone but a shell. It is the operculum of the Turban snail found in the South Seas of North Australia.  They are like trap doors, little snail doors. Its primary purpose is to seal and close the aperture (the opening) of the snail’s shell when the soft and vulnerable parts of the snail are retracted inside the shell.

Shiva eye symbolizes creation, destruction, spiritual knowledge, and transformation. Its spiral pattern illustrates eternity, understanding, and the interconnectedness of all things. Placed on the Third Eye, this shell is purported to help us connect with the universal mind, the Divine, and our highest selves.
